Cirxles by Sysco Joel Contreras

12/16/2020

Oak iris moons
Honey eye soft reflection
Pupils from two Carnival lights
Little spoons bite back
But I’m in no condition-I pretend
Standing up smiles filled dorm rooms
Frowns often froze our oasis
Spoons Cue up our Movie nightstand
Again I pretend to understand
Bigger spoons don’t break I guess.

I should’ve though but I shadowed
I hid to rid to hide
Overwhelmed with Powerful love
Blinding me from darkest nights
Dampened inside I was conflicted
Parched Eyes convicted
Drowned eyes kindest for my protection
Illustrating pain alone was my movie
It Divided our Movies & midnight snacks
Happy love messiness was coincidence
Beauty blinks but carnivals lights bore light
A lifetime traded for a moment of that….in a heartbeat i would,
I most certainly would.
